  2. Silly question time: Do you turn at the end of each round? Thanks

  3. No, you work the pattern in a round (more or less crochet in a continuous circle). That is why you chain up 4, to get yourself to another row.

  4. This looks great and just what I've been looking for! Thank you for writing it down, it's much appreciated :) Just two questions before I start:
Are you working in US or UK stitches?
How many balls/ skeins of wool did it take to make this size?

  5. I work it in US stitches. I don't remember exactly how many skeins….I would say 1 1/2-2.

  6. This is my new favorite pattern for baby blankies! I used Red Heart Super Saver, two 7 oz skeins, and an J hook. By 31 rows is was 48 inches across, so I added a reverse single edging and stopped! My friend called it a Baby Doily. Thank you for the pattern!

  8. hoping you can help. im attempting this blanket but rather than making up flat it is rippling, is this normal? will it flatten over rows? if not, any idea what i've done wrong, ive started then ripped apart the blanket 3 times..... HELP!

  9. it should be pretty flat when you are making it. make sure you are increasing stitches each row, as per instructions. other than that, make sure your stitches are consistent.

  12. Thank You for the great pattern!! I crochet/knit afghans for our local Children's Hospital and this is going to be one of my "Go To" patterns!! The children get to take the afghans home when they get to go home. This is going to be a great pattern to make in BRIGHT colorful yarn. I'll probably do stripes of different colors to add more brightness and pattern for the kids. Thanks again and God Bless You. Judi

  13. I did this for a baby shower gift and need it at round thirty and added a ruffled edge as the last three rounds. The mother was in awe of it. Thank you for sharing this pattern.

    1. Sorry to say, you would have to add another skein of yarn. If you do not follow the pattern, it will become uneven.

  16. Is it possible to make this for an adult? My young adult daughter wants a watermelon looking one. This is perfect!

    1. Yes, you would just continue the pattern, so R38 would have 36 dc in between increases, R39 would have 37 dc in between increases, R40 would have 38 dc in between increases, etc.

Flower thong pattern...FINALLY!

Here is the long awaited pattern for the flower thong. I did use a smaller hook than what I had used on the purple undies, but I similarly used crochet size 10 thread. Flower Thong Pattern: **Pattern is worked starting with the string, then the body of the thong, then the ties. sh= shell= 3 dc in one st **NOTE: I made this pattern to fit me...I wear about a 6 size undies. If you wear bigger or smaller, you will need to adjust the ties accordingly. I also made the ties so they could be just double knotted, not tied in bows, so if that's what you're looking for, you would need to add more as well. Also this pattern is for personal use only, please do not sell the pattern or the undies, as I am giving it to you for free and it took several hours to write it down. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and please let me know if I need to tweak the pattern. Thanks, and enjoy!** Ch 60, sc in 2nd from hook and in each ch. When you get to end ch, 5 sc & “go around corner”. Sc in ea

Free Pattern: Easy Striped Baby Blanket

I created this light and airy baby blanket, and it seems to crochet up pretty quick.  It is for personal use only, and it took a while to figure it out, so please respect that.  Do not sell the pattern or the final product.  Thanks! I used size J hook and sport baby yarn.  *Note: Ch 3 counts as 1st DC* Ch 113 R1: DC in 4th ch from hook.  DC in next 10 ch.  Ch 1, *DC, ch 1, DC, ch 1, DC, ch 1, DC, ch 1, 11 more DC*.  Repeat from * to * until you reach the end of the row.  Turn. R2: Ch 3 and DC in next 10 st.  Repeat from * to * until you reach the end of the row. Repeat R2 until you are satisfied with the length.  The width of the blanket is about 42".
