Baby Blue Stripes

Baby Blue Stripes Baby Blanket: This blanket takes a little while because you are crocheting in every stitch, and it is worked in the round.  It is for personal use only, and it took a while to figure out, so please respect that.  Do not sell the pattern or the final product.  Thank you! For this pattern: - I used an "I" or 5.50 mm hook - Bernet Baby Sport yarn in "Baby Blue".  The white I used was recovered yarn from a blanket, also sport weight. - This blanket is approx 36"X36". - "Ch up 3" counts as first dc. To begin, using the blue, ch 5 and join to create a circle. R1: Ch up 3, 2 dc, *ch 2, 3 dc* all in middle of circle.  Repeat * to * 2 more times, then ch 2 and join with top of "ch up 3". Sl st in next 2 dc and in "corner". R2: Ch up 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc all in corner.  *Dc in next 3 dc.  2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in corner.*  Repeat * to * 2 more times, then 3 dc in next 3 dc and join in top of "ch up 3".

New Blankets!

Hey everyone...so it's definitely been a while since I've posted, but I'm still crafting away.  Mostly crochet to be exact.  There have been so many babies, I just finished my 4th blanket in the past 2 months.  The first one I'm dubbing Baby Blue Stripes blanket.  I will write a new post with the pattern.  It's pretty easy, just time consuming because it's worked in the round, but no holes, so it doesn't work up as quick.  This blanket is actually for someone, sorry for the bad lighting.  I followed an actual pattern for this one.  I did the pattern with white and a variegated yarn.  You can find it here: http://greetingarts.typepad.com/greetingarts/2010/05/neopolitan-ripple.html  This is the final blanket I did.  I can write up a pattern if you guys are interested.  It's called the Striped Shell blanket.  It did take a while longer to do because the pattern is a little more challenging.
